Alejandra Alcala – Volaris

Today, Tuesday, 27 January, at the Atlantis Casino Resort, the Nevada Latin Chamber of Business guest speaker was Volaris‘ Alejandra Alcala.

She spoke in front of a packed house about the future of the Volaris and the Non-Stop flights between Reno/Tahoe and Guadalajara which started on December 16, 2014.

Guadalajara to Reno

The airline operates  twice weekly, Tuesdays and Fridays. The Airbus 320 with 174 seats departs Guadalajara at 11:30 a.m. and arrives in Reno at 1:50 p.m. Then the flight turns around and departs Reno at 3:20 p.m. and lands in Guadalajara at 8:55 p.m.  Demand for service is from families, tourism and business. 

This is another great example of Reno-Tahoe International Airport‘s quick expansion. In December, non-stop service between Reno and London’s Gatwick Airport also began.
